Unity Wellness Project was created from a place of lived experience, compassion, and a desire to fill the gaps in wellness and recovery services. Our founder, Rebecca Norris, grew up in a foster-adopt family and spent years working in mental health, substance use treatment, and social work. Along the way, she saw firsthand how traditional systems often fail to meet the needs of people navigating trauma, addiction, and instability. Those experiences planted the seed for a wellness center that truly understands and serves those who are often overlooked.
The story of Unity Wellness Project is deeply personal. Watching her younger brother struggle with co-occurring mental health and substance use challenges revealed how inaccessible healing resources could be for families like hers. That pain became purpose. Rebecca envisioned a space where people are met with empathy, not judgment—where healing is practical, affordable, and rooted in real community support. From that vision, Unity Wellness Project was born.
Today, Unity Wellness Project stands as a beacon of hope and transformation in Bremerton, Washington. Every program we offer reflects our founder’s journey and our belief that healing should be human, holistic, and within reach. Our story isn’t just ours—it’s a reflection of the many families and individuals we serve. This is a place where pain is honored, growth is possible, and connection leads the way forward.
